What's involved with this role: Temporary Civil Enforcement Officer x2 – Parking Reference no: S Tyneside 1004825314885623 Pay rate: £11.98 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 35-37 Monday to Sunday, 8am-4.30pm and 11.30am -8.00pm shifts, 5 days out of 7 days This opening assignment is for 1 month City: SOUTH SHIELDS, Tyne & Wear A DBS disclosure is listed as a requirement for this role; however the level of disclosure has not been specified by the client A Civil Enforcement Officer is required to be responsible for patrolling South Tyneside in areas where parking restrictions are in place. Two shift patterns to be worked on a rotational basis: 8am-4.30pm and 11.30am -8.00pm, 5 days out of 7 days. Weekend work and bank holiday work is required; this however will be on a rota basis. Key responsibilities: Provide a good customer service, representing the Council, using a handheld device, printer and Body Worn Camera. Issue Penalty Charge Notices to non-compliant vehicles. Check for parking articles such as permits, blue badges etc. Evidence gathering is required, and the use of an integrated camera and note taking skills are also required. Expected to patrol in all weathers and mostly on foot, however a full driving licence is required. Ability to walk long distance in all weathers. Good communication skills both written and oral. Able to operate a portable computer. Able to work as a member of a team.
