The Opportunity
Haberdashers’ Monmouth School is seeking to appoint a part-time Teacher of Biology on a fixed-term contract from April 2026 to the end of the Michaelmas term, in the first instance.
The successful applicant will be a well‑qualified, highly motivated, and innovative Biology teacher, possessing excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach confidently up to A Level.
This is a temporary, part-time role for 29.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
1. Delivering well-planned, focused lessons to engage, support and stretch all learners
2. Assessing, recording and reporting on the attainment, progress and development of pupils
3. Providing or contributing to written assessments, reports and references relating to individual pupils and groups of pupils
4. Contributing to the Biology department’s resources and learning objectives through the creation of schemes of work and programmes of study
5. Participating in arrangements for further training and professional development as a teacher

You demonstrate a strong passion for Biology and the ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity and precision. As a confident, adaptable teacher, you create engaging lessons with a commitment to supporting pupils of all abilities. You contribute positively to the wider department and uphold the values and expectations of the School.
