Nuclear Process Engineer (Full-time / Part-time) at AtkinsRéalis. Engineers at AtkinsRéalis deliver transformative projects in the UK nuclear industry, reducing carbon emissions while supporting future energy security. Work spans fields including new nuclear power station design, fusion technologies, and implementing new nuclear waste management processes.
AtkinsRéalis is looking to grow our team of process engineers within the Nuclear & Power business. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and aim to fit roles to applicants' strengths to support career development and business success.
Responsibilities
 * Produce process engineering deliverables (process sizing calculations, heat & material balances, P&IDs, etc.).
 * Conduct process modelling and process safety activities (HAZID/HAZOP studies, DSEAR assessments, etc.).
 * Collaborate across AtkinsRéalis to provide technical expertise where needed to deliver the best engineering solutions for clients.
 * Strengthen delivery of work through various models, including embedded resources within client offices, site-based roles, and in-house engineering support from AtkinsRéalis offices.
 * Focus on providing high-quality work to clients and effective communication in written and verbal form.
Qualifications
 * BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering, working towards Chartership with IChemE.
 * Experience in the nuclear industry is useful but not required; we also value transferable knowledge from other industries.
 * Experience with chemical process simulation software for design, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
