BA Cityflyer is an airline with a difference. Yes, we’re part of the British Airways family and take great pride in delivering the same impeccable customer service. However, we also do things in our own, unique way.
We serve a business and leisure market from London City, a single-terminal airport just east of Canary Wharf. It’s a place where you’ll really get to know your colleagues and become part of a close-knit team.
You might also get to know our customers too, some of whom fly with us weekly, or even daily. In fact, our diverse and dedicated team really feel like they’re part of a family when they join us.
So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning, or landing us gently in exciting places, a job at BA Cityflyer is yours to make.
This is an airline where your original personality and skills will really shine through.
B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineer
We are recruiting for CAA Part 66 B1/B2 or unrestricted B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineers to support line operations at London City Airport.
What you’ll do:
As a Licenced Aircraft Engineer working a 12-hour shift pattern covering days and nights, you will report to the Duty Station Maintenance Manager and be responsible for carrying out line maintenance on our modern Embraer 190 fleet, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as defect rectification.
What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer:
You’ll demonstrate sound knowledge of current CAA Part 145 procedures, be flexible in your approach to meet operational challenges at London City Airport and across the network, and utilize some of the latest technology.
Your experience:
We are seeking candidates with previous experience working in a line maintenance environment as a B1 or B1/B2 certifying engineer, holding a CAA Unrestricted Part 66 B1 or B1/B2 Licence with at least one type rating. A current Embraer 190 type rating is desirable; however, type training will be provided to successful candidates.
What we offer:
We believe that all our employees should feel valued for their contributions. Our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.
From day one, you’ll access fantastic staff travel benefits, including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.
At BA Cityflyer, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new challenges and advance in a way that suits you. We encourage all our staff to explore opportunities across our business to develop and progress.
We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.
Inclusion & Diversity
At BA Cityflyer, we all play a part in creating an inclusive workplace. Diverse representation is important to us, and we recognize that our colleagues bring their own originality, creativity, and identity to work.
Inclusion and diversity drive innovation, and we’re committed to fostering a culture where everyone feels they can be themselves. We invite people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
