As Leadership Development and Early Careers Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing Scania’s talent, from apprentices to senior leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within our UK organisation. You will create attractive early careers recruitment campaigns, plan development initiatives, and deliver hands-on leadership development to our most valuable assets—our people.
In this role you will:
* Report to the Head of People Development for Scania UK, overseeing our Early Careers and Leadership Development programmes.
* Enhance career growth within our organisation through an end-to-end talent pipeline.
* Plan, map, and deliver an Early Careers strategy for Scania Great Britain.
* Implement and improve recruitment strategies for technical apprentices, graduate programmes, and internships, including designing, planning, and leading selection processes.
* Design and oversee our Early Careers recruitment campaigns, ensuring a best-in-class process for candidates and hiring managers.
* Collaborate with the Apprentice Programme Manager to develop established apprentice programmes and support pastoral care.
* Manage and guide our Early Careers Advisor and third-party suppliers.
* Establish and deliver a Leadership Development strategy for Scania Great Britain to foster internal talent growth.
* Work closely with People Business Partners and Managers to identify and deliver specific development needs.
* Be visible across our Milton Keynes Head Office and UK sites to design and deliver workshops and team interventions.
* Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements.
* Support business growth through recruitment, development, coaching, and programmes.
* Model Scania’s core values in word and action, acting as an ambassador.
About you:
* Experience: End-to-end Early Careers recruitment, coaching, and mentoring at various levels (certified coaching qualification desirable).
* Strategic: Ability to define and deliver strategies aligned with business needs.
* Passionate: Committed to providing industry-leading development for our people.
* Excellent Communicator: Capable of making people feel understood, with clear messaging and vision.
* Excellent Presentation Skills: Able to deliver training at leadership level.
* Coach: Experienced in developing colleagues with tailored approaches and role modeling.
* Facilitator: Skilled in fostering growth based on individual needs.
* Values-driven: Embodying and promoting Scania’s core values.
