What You’ll Be Doing:
As a System Design Authority, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our modelling and simulation products. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the technical design, tackling challenges head-on while balancing risk, cost, and schedule to ensure safety and design integrity.
* Collaborating with external customers and stakeholders to define project and product requirements, acting as a passionate ambassador for Simulation and Training.
* Ensuring our products are safe, secure, and compliant with all contractual, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
* Assisting in defining technology and product strategy, promoting the use of common technologies across programs to align with our product goals.
* Providing technical support to project managers, leading design reviews, and serving as a key point of contact for systems engineering within the team.
Your Skills and Experiences:
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in systems engineering and a passion for innovation. Here’s what you’ll need:
* Proficiency in Systems Engineering principles with demonstrated knowledge and experience.
* Strong Engineering Governance Knowledge: A solid understanding of engineering governance practices.
* Technical Design Leadership: Ability to guide design processes while considering compliance, complexity, and cost/schedule constraints.
* Innovative Problem-Solving: A knack for developing creative solutions based on thorough analysis of diverse information sources.
* A STEM Degree or equivalent; Chartered engineer status or the ability to obtain chartership.
