We are seeking a talented and highly motivated researcher to join the Environment & Health Modelling (EHM) Lab (https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/ehm-lab) led by Prof Antonio Gasparrini. The successful candidate will work on the CONNECT project - Cohort and environmental data integration for epidemiological innovation, funded by the Wellcome Trust. This project offers the opportunity to work with large UK cohorts such as UK Biobank, CPRD, and OpenSAFELY, and to develop advanced analytical methods to study environmental health risks and climate change. The role involves collaboration with research networks like DASH (https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/dash) and the Multi-City Multi-Country Collaborative Research Network (https://mccstudy.lshtm.ac.uk/).
The ideal candidate should hold a postgraduate (preferably doctoral) degree in a relevant field, with experience in environmental epidemiology, especially managing and analyzing large cohorts. Strong skills in statistical inference, probability, and analytical methods for cohort studies are required. Proficiency in R software for epidemiological analysis is essential.
This full-time, 24-month, fixed-term position offers 35 hours per week, starting from 01 October 2025. It is funded by the Wellcome Trust.
