This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative and supportive team, with dedicated assistance from a Medical Secretary and a Specialist Doctor to facilitate efficient daily operations.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic, person-centric care based on the recovery model. You will also provide high-quality clinical care within the hospital services.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be:
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and developing a therapeutic milieu.
* Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Providing psychiatric assessments, formulations, and treatment plans as part of the multidisciplinary team.
* Contributing to management and clinical governance meetings, and helping develop service strategies.
* Participating in in-house training and supervising other team members, especially junior medical staff.
* Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements as per the Royal College of Psychiatrists or relevant bodies.
* Being part of an on-call Responsible Clinician rota.
To be successful, you will:
* Be medically qualified, with MRC Psych or equivalent.
* Be innovative, with the ability to initiate decisions.
* Have a good understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
* Possess knowledge of change management, legislation, and contractual issues in mental health services.
* Have previous experience in a consultant management role.
