This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing all workshop operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading workshop personnel, driving operational performance, and supporting the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day activities within the fabrication workshop Lead, motivate, and develop workshop personnel including foremen, chargehands, and fabrication teams Ensure production schedules and customer delivery requirements are achieved Oversee fabrication quality, workshop productivity, and HSE compliance Ensure effective resource planning including labour, materials, and equipment Support commercial and operational activities including quotations, contract reviews, and purchasing requirements Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve technical or operational issues Support recruitment, performance management, training, and personnel development activities Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a senior supervisory or management role within a fabrication or engineering workshop environment Strong practical background in fabrication, welding, and engineering operations Excellent understanding of workshop processes, quality standards, and HSE requirements Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver against operational deadlines Experience managing workshop productivity, planning, and resource allocation Good commercial awareness with exposure to contracts, estimating, or quotations Strong communication and people management skills What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Long-term career opportunity with a respected engineering business Senior leadership role with autonomy and responsibility Stable and supportive working environment Opportunity to influence and improve workshop operations
