Job Overview
Active Wirral is seeking motivated and customer‑focused Leisure Assistants for one full‑time and three part‑time roles across our leisure centres. The role involves ensuring leisure facilities remain safe, welcoming and enjoyable for all users.
Locations
The Oval, Guinea Gap and Leasowe Leisure Centre.
Key Tasks
* Provide lifeguard duties across designated swimming pools.
* Patrol the gym area on rota, ensuring all areas and machines are clean and in good working order.
* Ensure all areas are fit for purpose and report defects to the Line Manager.
* Perform general cleaning and labouring duties as required.
* Patrol outside facilities, collect tickets, supervise outside changing areas and issue keys for changing facilities.
* Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Participate in ongoing training programmes.
Requirements
* A current Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Pool Lifeguarding qualification is essential.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and shift patterns, including evenings and weekends, across all leisure centres.
* All positions require a DBS check.
* Eligibility to work in the UK must be verified prior to employment; candidates requiring sponsorship will need to meet Home Office criteria for a Skilled Worker visa.
