Location – Fareham
Contract – Part Time and Full Time available
Start date – January 2026
What You’ll Bring to the Role
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school or similar environment
* A calm, patient and empathetic approach to communication and behaviour
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
* Flexibility to adapt support to suit each child’s individual needs
* Reliability, resilience and a proactive attitude
* A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable, not essential)
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
* Providing dedicated, personalised 1:1 support for a pupil with additional or complex needs
* Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver engaging, accessible learning activities
* Using effective strategies to support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Preparing or adapting resources in line with the pupil’s EHCP and individual learning targets
* Helping to create a calm, consistent and nurturing learning environment
* Working in partnership with staff and parents to ensure the pupil feels valued, supported and included

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
