Job purpose and objectives
WHCE exists to improve the quality of life for people in West Howe through social events and capacity building. Creating opportunities to connect, be active, learn, give and raise awareness.
The role of the Volunteer and People Coordinator is to
·Ensure pastoral care of volunteers and anyone that encounters WHCE.
·Ensure all volunteers are supported to deliver across all functions of the Enterprises as appropriate whilst developing their own skills and benefit from their involvement in WHCE
·Maintain and keep our website and social media sites up to date and relevant.
Main duties and responsibilities
1.Recruit, support and supervise volunteers across the Enterprises in their various roles.
2.Ensure good practice across all aspects of volunteer management.
3.Coordinate and where appropriate deliver volunteer training ensuring volunteers and any other individuals receive the training and skills development to support them in their roles with WHCE and into future opportunities.
4.Develop a wellbeing programme to support staff, volunteers and anyone associated with the Enterprises.
5.Manage a budget for volunteer training and activities.
6.Contribute, with colleagues, to promotion and marketing techniques including social media for the benefit of the community.
The Volunteer/People Coordinator will be expected to:
·Comply with all WHCE policies and procedures.
·Carry out all duties that could reasonably be expected of this post.
·Behave in manner that aligns with the ethos of the organisation.
·Complete all relevant training required for the post.
·Collaborate within the team to ensure delivery of WHCE aims and objectives.
·Work with colleagues to cover weekend and evening opening of the Henry Brown.
·Deputise for the Charity Manager when required.

All team members must comply with the Company’s Data Protection Policy to ensure client information is lawfully gathered, accurate, up-to-date, and disclosed only in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant data protection legislation.
This post is exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, as per the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
