Disability Specialist Support Worker Contract: Relief / Bank (as and when required) Hours: Monday–Saturday, typically 9:00am–4:00pm Pay: £13.68 – £14.24 per hour Job Type: Part-time We are currently recruiting a Disability Specialist Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults and children with additional needs. This is a relief position, offering flexible work with increased availability during school holidays. About the Role You will support individuals with daily living tasks, promote independence, and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. This role suits someone who is: Caring, empathetic and reliable A strong communicator and problem solver Flexible and willing to learn Passionate about improving outcomes for others Key Responsibilities Supporting clients with personal care in a dignified manner Assisting with mobility needs, including wheelchair support Administering medication in line with procedures and recording accurately Managing behaviour using calm, supportive approaches Driving clients to activities and appointments where required Monitoring health and reporting concerns promptly Supporting meaningful daily activities and routines Completing documentation to a high standard ✅ Skills & Experience Previous care or support experience desirable (not essential) Compassionate and patient approach Strong communication skills with families and professionals Ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly Physically able to assist with mobility and lifting where required Full UK driving licence desirable A child and adult DBS is required (or willingness to obtain one).
