My client is a specialist manufacturer of Refrigeration equipment.
Qualifications
* 1 year or more of experience in a similar Design/Development Engineering position
* Background in Refrigeration with knowledge of refrigeration systems and principles
* F-Gas qualified
* Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer in the development of refrigeration products or devices
* Proficiency with CAD software (ideally Inventor or SolidWorks), Refprop, Flownex
* Degree, HNC, HND, BTEC, NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Proven ability to drive engineering development
* Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
* Ability to understand system requirements
* Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
* Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
* New product development, testing and prototyping
* Working on full lifecycle design projects
* Designing and developing new products
* Liaising with manufacturing providers
* Being involved in final assembly of products
* Creating required documentation for design and project reports/plans
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system and creating BOMs
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
