Job Description
The Resolute Group is proud to partner with an international Engineering and Design Consultancy to support the continued growth of their Building Services division. With a strong project pipeline within the data centre sector, this role offers the chance to lead from the front as the Technical Director (Electrical), shaping design standards, mentoring a high-performing team, and influencing project delivery at the highest level.
Responsibilities
* Lead the electrical engineering discipline on major projects, providing technical direction and ensuring best-in-class design delivery.
* Oversee the development of electrical systems designs, including cooling, ventilation, and HVAC solutions for large-scale data centre environments.
* Work closely with mechanical and structural counterparts to ensure fully coordinated MEP solutions within BIM/Revit environments.
* Act as the technical authority for the electrical discipline, conducting design reviews and approving technical outputs.
* Provide strategic leadership on project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects.
* Support business growth by contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring designs align with commercial objectives.
* Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and digital design advancements to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
* Experience leading electrical design teams within the data centre sector.
* Proven technical expertise in electrical systems design for mission-critical projects.
* Strong working knowledge of BIM/Revit and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
