Public Health is recruiting a Health Improvement Officer to support their Joint Strategic Needs Assessment portfolio, working as part of the Public Health Directorate.
This is a fixed-term secondment for 1 year. You should seek your manager's approval before applying.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in public health within a local authority setting to help meet local and national priorities.
The successful candidate will support senior officers in identifying needs, appraising evidence, and working on initiatives to reduce health risks among residents.
You should be able to build strong partnership relationships, have project management experience, and be skilled in producing reports and presentations, with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
The role offers support and opportunities for career development across other public health areas within the department, aligned with departmental objectives.

Hybrid working arrangements are available. Your working arrangements will be determined based on role requirements and in collaboration with you during recruitment. Your contractual location will be the designated council office.
