Evenings out, for example meals, drinks, darts, bowling, trips to The Light Live music, bands, bars & comedy shows A shared love of trashy pop music is a bonus! Helping care for their friendly dog. Getting involved in gardening and veg growing in the summer. Responsibilities Promote independence and support client in developing life skills. Support client with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping. Encourage and support client to engage in community, social, and recreational activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided. Follow individual care and support plans and report any changes or concerns to team members/supervisor. Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times. Occasional overnight stays (eg once every couple of months, supporting morning routine). Potential holiday support. Person Specification Essential A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with the client and team members. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic IT skills for recording and reporting. Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices. Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship). Willingness to undergo a DBS check. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable Previous experience in a care or support role working with someone with a brain injury. Level 2 or above qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it). First Aid. Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
