KS4 Teacher – SEMH Provision (Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm)

Contract: Full-time, temporary-to-permanent

A specialist school in Chorley is looking to appoint a committed and resilient KS4 Teacher to support students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role involves teaching a range of subjects across the curriculum to small classes of secondary-aged pupils, typically working towards Functional Skills or Foundation GCSE level.
This is a full-time position available on a temporary-to-permanent basis for the right candidate.
About the Role:
* Deliver lessons across multiple subject areas (planning support and schemes provided)
* Focus on life skills and personal development alongside academic content
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide a stable, consistent environment
* Occasionally support other key stages if required
* Contribute to a positive, therapeutic approach to behaviour and learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have QTS or QTLS (unfortunately, we can not appoint ECT's in this instance)
* Be confident in adapting teaching to meet individual needs and learning styles
* Have experience working with students with SEMH needs or similar
* Be calm, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with students who may display challenging behaviour
* Be open to working flexibly and supporting the wider school community
