Location: Chard, Somerset
Type: Permanent, Part Time (25.5 hours per week)
Salary: £13.21 to £13.63 per hour (£25,838 to £26,645 per annum pro rata) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan
Overview: This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Chard. You will be responsible for tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained, and assisting customers with managing their tenancies and rent accounts to help them secure long-term accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support single homeless individuals facing various challenges, including substance misuse and mental health issues.
* Ensure properties are well-maintained and support tenants in engaging with their tenancies.
* Assist with housing benefit claims and ensure timely receipt on rent accounts.
* Issue warning letters and notices, and attend court when necessary.
* Prepare rooms for new tenants and ensure maximum occupancy by turning around vacant rooms within set timescales.
* Maintain health and safety compliance and meet maintenance standards.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord duties.
* Knowledge of re-letting rooms or units, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
* Ability to lead and support team members.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and positively influence others.
* Proactive, well-organized, and able to work on initiative.
* Strong collaborative skills with colleagues and external partners.
