The vacancy
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Football Coach to support the delivery and development of football provision across the College. This is an exciting opportunity to engage and inspire students of all abilities, increasing participation while supporting performance development in a dynamic further education environment.
You will plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions, lead teams in fixtures and competitions, and play a key role in enhancing the student experience through sport. This role is ideal for a passionate coach who thrives on developing talent and promoting inclusive participation.
This is variable hours contract based at North Lindsey College
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality football coaching sessions for students of varying abilities
2. Support player development through constructive feedback on performance, fitness and technical skills
3. Lead and manage college teams during fixtures, leagues and AoC competitions
4. Develop tactics and analyse individual and team performance to improve outcomes
5. Work collaboratively with staff to increase participation in football enrichment activities
6. Ensure coaching is delivered in a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Essential Criteria
7. Relevant National Governing Body (NGB) coaching qualification
8. GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Level 2)
9. Experience of coaching football, ideally with 16–18-year-olds
10. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners
11. Enthusiastic, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team

Lets Teach Programme
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
