Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach KS3/KS4 English effectively and creatively across the age and ability range.
* Ensure students are assessed in line with department and school policy and use assessment to inform student learning.
* Report to parents on student progress as required by school policy.
* Attend and contribute to English department meetings.
* Follow departmental schemes of work and, where appropriate, contribute to their development.
* Promote English in the school and contribute to enrichment and extra‑curricular activities.
* Support student learning through regular target setting.
* Keep up to date with current thinking and new initiatives regarding English teaching.
