Role Overview:
As the Commercial Manager, you will drive the commercial performance of the company's portfolio. You will manage a small team (5-6 people, from QS to SQS) and oversee 3-5 projects, focusing on performance and profitability. The role involves managing tenders, risks, cost impacts, and changes across multiple projects. Experience with NEC3/4 Option A contracts, project delivery, programme controls, and planning is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Management: Oversee contracts, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
2. Manage 3-5 projects, providing strategic support to your team and project delivery teams.
3. Achieve tender margin targets and pursue opportunities to improve profitability.
4. Identify and manage risks and opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships.
5. Oversee change management and variations, ensuring accurate cost capture and integration into plans.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
7. Drive team performance aligned with company goals and collaborate with other divisions.
8. Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
