* Carry out theduties of a Student Support Mentor determined by the School and with regard tothe LA/DFE guidelines.
* Keeping anattendance register of students for every session and following up absence whennecessary.
* Careful planningto ensure maximum engagement from some disaffected students.
* Preparing anddeveloping coaching and learning support materials.
* Contributing fullyto the departmental team.
* Keepingappropriate records and plans.
* Participating inall appropriate meetings.
* Mentor an agreedgroup of students through a planned programme of activity and tutorials.
* Ongoing monitoringand evaluation of student progress through an analysis of key behaviour data,for example G4S and ensure Intervention to suit to the needs of the Child.
* In conjunctionwith the pastoral team, develop and maintain regular contact withfamilies/carers of children, to keep them informed of the child’s needs andprogress, and to secure positive family support and involvement.
* Develop individualaction plans for students as requested.
* Follow weeklytimetables to accommodate cohorts of students.
* Use a variety ofstrategies and student activities to enhance academic acquisition,self-confidence and self- esteem in order to assist progress through thecurriculum.
* Be aware of andcomply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health,safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, copyright etc.including reporting all concerns to line manager.
* Contribute to theoverall aims of the School.
* Undertake anyother duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of theduties and responsibilities / grade of the post as defined.
