The role of the Assistant Site Manager is to support the Site Manager in the on-site management and delivery of specified works, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and safely. The role involves liaising with QS, H&S, ISO, technical, and other managers to ensure project delivery.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with managing the specified works and workforce to achieve productivity levels, deadlines, and budgets.
2. Support the management of works delivery according to the programme and communicate requirements to the workforce, assisting with their sections of the programme.
3. Coordinate labour and material requirements across site teams for efficient resource use.
4. Liaise with project managers, QS, and buying departments to ensure timely orders and material deliveries, monitoring site requirements and documentation.
5. Build and maintain relationships with key client staff, stakeholders, funders, and third parties.
6. Take ownership of all aspects of works management within your scope.
7. Understand the scope and manage resources to deliver works on time and within budget.
8. Maintain information necessary for producing, maintaining, and controlling work delivery, and communicate as needed.
9. Ensure quality standards, programme, and contract requirements are communicated and maintained.
10. Keep complete and accurate records of all work aspects, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and policies.
11. Coordinate with project management and commercial departments to manage subcontractors, orders, budgets, and costs.
12. Work with Health & Safety to ensure delivery of H&S plans, risk assessments, and related documentation on site.
13. Collaborate with ISO and Design & Quality departments for service and product delivery management.
14. Work with resident liaison and customer service teams to address residents’ issues satisfactorily.
15. Monitor workforce performance through objectives and action plans.
16. Address contractor and sub-contractor issues appropriately.
17. Attend site and management meetings regularly.
18. Stay updated on industry regulations, H&S legislation, and company procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
* ONC or equivalent qualification/experience in a construction-related discipline.
* QCQA certification is essential.
* Experience within cladding/facades is preferred.
* In progress or completed NVQ in a construction-related discipline.
* CSCS card.
* SSTS certification is beneficial.
* EWI experience is advantageous.
* Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and H&S legislation.
* Willingness to undertake necessary training.
* Driving license and access to a vehicle are beneficial.
