Responsibilities
* Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of qualified diesel mechanics and apprentices
* Managing daily workshop operations, scheduling, and job allocation
* Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met
* Providing expert mechanical advice and hands‑on support where needed
* Building strong customer relationships and maintaining service excellence
* Overseeing inventory, parts, and job costing
* Reporting directly to senior management and contributing to business growth
Qualifications
* Trade‑qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle or equivalent)
* Proven leadership experience in a busy workshop environment
* Strong diagnostic and technical ability
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safety, quality, and team culture
* Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and workshop systems
