Applications are invited for a Research Associate/Fellow, based in the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), to work on the NIHR-funded Lived Experience Narratives in Dementia (LEND) programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, mixed-methods study that champions inclusive, ethical and co-produced research with people living with dementia and their carers.

You will work across the first three Work Packages of the LEND programme, which include qualitative interviews, surveys, focus groups, and a feasibility trial. A critical focus of the role is engaging underserved and minoritised communities and upholding the autonomy, dignity and human rights of people with dementia.

You will work closely with Professor Martin Orrell (CI), Dr Linda O'Raw (PM) and an established interdisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians and public contributors. Your role will involve research planning, participant engagement, supporting advisory panel meetings, dissemination, and contributing to publications and future research bids

The post-holder will join the School of Medicine's vibrant research environment and be embedded within the IMH, Jubilee Campus. The LEND team includes experienced researchers, clinicians, and public advisors with expertise in dementia care, co-production, and inclusive methods. We value equity, creativity, and meaningful collaboration.

We are seeking a candidate with:
* A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant area such as Psychology, Mental Health, or Social Sciences.
* Experience in qualitative and/or mixed methods research.
* A demonstrable commitment to co-production and ethical research practices.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* An understanding of the lived experience of dementia and the importance of human rights.
Experience of working with diverse communities, or of conducting research related to mental health, bereavement or dementia, would be an advantage.

The University of Nottingham provides generous employment packages whilst supporting the well-being of our staff to help them reach their full potential. As a university employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including:
* A friendly, diverse, and supportive working environment
* A hybrid working arrangement with the blended approach of home and office working each week
* Generous holiday entitlement of 27 (30) days (or pro rata) plus standard bank holidays and five university closure days including closure between Christmas and New Year.
* Our reward scheme grants bonuses of numerous values for excellent work
* We are committed to staff development through the provision of training, continued support, and career progression opportunities.
* You will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes and many more. To find out more about what we can offer you, follow the link to our benefits website .

Your working hours will be 36.25 hours per week (full time). We welcome applications from those seeking part-time or job share opportunities (minimum 22 hours/week). Please specify your preferred hours in your application. This post is offered on a fixed term basis.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

If you have any questions about this role, please contact Dr Linda O'Raw (linda.o'raw@nottingham.ac.uk). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
