Overview
Senior Electronics Design Engineer – Location: Glasgow, Scotland. Salary: GBP 45,000 – GBP 60,000 per annum. Relocation assistance available. Sponsorship is available. A world-class engineering organization based in Glasgow (Scotland) with global leadership in Electronics, Industrial, Instrumentation and related sectors is hiring for two Senior Electronics Design Engineers to join on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer or a mid-level Electronics Design Engineer seeking career progression and ready to demonstrate motivation to move to a senior position.
Work arrangement, relocation and sponsorship assistance: 3–4 days onsite with the option to work from home. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are provided.
Salary: The salary on offer for the Senior Electronics Design Engineer is GBP 45,000 – GBP 60,000 per annum.
Key Skills include: 3–5+ years industry experience; experience in full product design lifecycle from concept; board level design and mixed signal electronics; microcontroller, mixed analogue and digital circuit designs; Schematics capture, layout and PCB layout knowledge; experience with Altium or other PCB design tools; network interfaces: SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485; design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM); product compliance and safety (EMC, LVD, CE Marking); debugging, simulation and validation of electronic and system designs; experience creating and maintaining technical documentation; electrical/electronic engineering experience in an industrial environment; good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have skills include: embedded C; FPGA development (Verilog); microcontrollers (STM32, ARM Cortex); PID controlled systems; product lifecycle management (PLM) software; Agile development experience (SAP, Oracle); Toradex-based embedded computing modules; test equipment development to support production and manufacturing; mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
