We are working in partnership with a leading regional law firm that is experiencing strong, sustained growth across the Midlands. Financially robust and highly regarded for its client service and legal expertise, the firm offers a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. As part of its ongoing expansion, the firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (5+ years PQE) to join its thriving employment law team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented employment law generalist to handle a diverse caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters, acting for both employers and employees. You’ll be part of a well-established team with an excellent reputation, advising a broad range of clients from SMEs to larger corporates, as well as individual employees and executives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advising on a full spectrum of employment law matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancy, TUPE, contracts, and workplace policies. Both contentious and non-contentious.
2. Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to final hearing.
3. Supporting corporate colleagues on employment aspects of transactional work.
4. Advising employer clients on day-to-day HR and employment law issues.
5. Representing employee clients in disputes, settlement agreements, and negotiations.
6. Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
7. Supporting business development initiatives and helping grow the firm’s employment practice.

About You:

8. Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law.
9. A broad range of experience covering both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
10. Solid experience advising and representing clients in unfair dismissal, breach of contract, and discrimination claims, with the ability to manage tribunal proceedings independently.
11. Comfortable advising both employers and employees.
12. Strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
13. Able to manage a busy caseload independently while contributing to the wider team.
14. Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent – (with hybrid/flexible working options)

Salary: Competitive, DOE
