About The Role
* Support Executive Directors, managing complex diaries and coordinating meetings.
* Handle a wide range of enquiries from residents, councillors and stakeholders.
* Act as a key link between Directors and colleagues across the organisation and external partners.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with politicians, partners and key stakeholders.
* Oversee incoming enquiries, ensuring they are professionally managed and responded to in a timely manner.
About The Team
You will work within the Chief Executive’s Support Office, alongside the Executive Support Manager and a team of three Executive Assistants. The team collaborates closely with the Head of the Chief Executive’s Office and three Business Managers to provide seamless, high‑quality support to the Council Leadership Team. Responsibilities are shared and priorities can shift quickly, requiring collaboration and flexibility.
About You
* Experience supporting senior leaders, ideally at Chief Executive or Director level in a local authority or similar complex organisation.
* Highly organised and proactive, managing competing priorities with confidence and efficiency.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a calm, solutions‑focused approach under pressure.
* Collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership, quickly resolving issues and driving momentum.
* Enthusiastic and motivated, delivering high‑quality service with a commitment to getting things right the first time.
