An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse to join the Haematology / Oncology Day Unit VHK. The day unit operates Monday to Friday 0800-1900. Shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
The successful applicant will participate in the safe delivery and planning of systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive care to individuals with malignant and non-malignant Haematology and Oncology disorders. At our core we are committed to delivering a high standard of care to our patients in Fife, using reflective and integrated practice whilst applying our evidenced based knowledge to achieve the best care possible for our patients undergoing treatment. We participate in delivering established treatment pathways alongside clinical trials, which allows for an exciting and forward thinking learning environment. We are committed to regular professional development and in-service training for personal and professional development.
You should have post registration experience within an acute setting and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to perform venepuncture and cannulation and completion of level one blood transfusion training is essential but could be learned once in post.
