HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and preferably some IT skills. Communication should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and colleagues.
The role involves ensuring residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections, audits, and record keeping. Tasks include replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on windows, or wallpapering, all carried out with kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. Attendance at safeguarding training is required, along with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns if necessary.
