HGV2 Refuse Driver – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable and experienced HGV 2 Refuse Driver in Luton to support local waste and recycling operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness of the community through safe and efficient refuse collection.
Location: Luton
Salary: £16.71 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time (early starts, shift details to be confirmed)
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

1. Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles on designated refuse and recycling routes in Luton
2. Collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial locations
3. Work closely with loaders to ensure safe and efficient collections
4. Carry out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
5. Report defects or maintenance issues promptly
6. Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
7. Complete required paperwork and daily records accurately
8. Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
10. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
11. Experience in refuse, recycling, or similar driving roles (preferred)
12. Good understanding of health & safety regulations
13. Reliable, team-focused, and physically fit
