The Role
We're looking for a commercially driven, relationship-focused Senior Commercial Manager to take full ownership of key retail accounts including
Morrisons and Co-op
.
You'll be accountable for delivering sustainable, profitable growth across mostly
Own Label
portfolios, so experience in Own Label development will be highly advantageous.
This is a high-impact role where you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, partnering cross-functionally to unlock opportunity and drive performance.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Own and deliver the annual budget across
volume, value and commercial margin
for your accounts.
* Identify, quantify and actively manage risks and opportunities to keep performance on track.
* Drive distribution and performance of NPD, delivering profitable growth across the full product portfolio.
* Develop a deep understanding of Morrisons and Co-op's strategic priorities, aligning internal plans to create mutually beneficial growth.
* Act as the internal champion for your customer, facilitating collaboration across the Business Unit.
* Partner with the Sales Director to develop, implement and continuously refine the customer strategy.
* Build and execute a structured contact strategy across all levels and functions internally and externally.
* Lead and prioritise customer projects, shaping both branded and Own Label propositions that deliver meaningful value.
* Implement price increases effectively while protecting long-term customer relationships and business stability.
* Contribute to the annual budget planning cycle for your accounts.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum
5 years' experience in a Commercial role
, ideally within food or FMCG.
* Direct experience managing
Morrisons and/or Co-op or a top 4 retailer
(highly desirable).
* Experience working with or developing
Own Label ranges
would be a strong advantage.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and manage full P&Ls.
* Proven experience building and managing annual budgets and complex forecasts.
* Excellent analytical capability with a sharp eye for detail and numbers.
* Confidence translating data into actionable insight and clear commercial plans.
* Strong influencing skills, able to engage effectively across different levels and functions.
* A natural networker who can build credibility both internally and within retail customers.
