In this role, you'll be supporting young people aged 16-25 living in shared accommodation and in the community as they work toward independence.

Location: New City Road, Glasgow, Scotland, G4 9JT
Hours / Shift Pattern: 37 hours per weekShifts include sleepovers, day shift and back shift this includes weekend work.
About the Service
Glasgow 16+ service has over 30 years' experience of supporting care leavers within Glasgow through our housing support services.
Our housing support services include 2 residential accommodations for young people to group live to develop their skills within a group setting with staff support. We also have 18 flats within Glasgow which we offer outreach services to.
About the Role
As a Housing Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing one to one support, encouraging young people to maintain their accommodation, build positive relationships with neighbours, safeguard their wellbeing, and access local community services.
* Designing and delivering flexible, individualised programmes that reflect each young person's needs, aspirations, and goals.
* Managing challenging behaviour constructively while maintaining professional boundaries, safety, and openness.
* Producing clear written reports, maintaining accurate records within an open recording system, and encouraging young people to contribute to their own documentation.
About You
In your application, you should demonstrate:
* HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent qualification
* Experience of working with vulnerable young people in a supportive role
* Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
* Knowledge of issues surrounding leaving care and social inclusion
* Evidence of trauma informed practice
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins
