As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating and, where applicable, programming CNC lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, optimising production, and supporting an efficient workshop environment.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components.
- Program or edit CNC programs (depending on experience).
- Work from technical drawings to tight tolerances.
- Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency.
- Assist with routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter, operator or programmer).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience setting tooling, offsets, and making program edits.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Multi‑axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential.
