Position: Behaviour Support Mentor

We are a leading recruitment agency currently partnering with a dynamic SEND Academy in Rossendale to recruit a full-time Behaviour Support Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and supportive educational setting, where your role will have a direct impact on students’ academic progress and personal growth.
The Behaviour Support Mentor will work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement effective strategies to support students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
-Build and maintain 1:1 mentoring relationships with identified pupils to provide consistent, tailored support.
-Collaborate with students to create agreed action plans, clearly outlining mentoring goals and desired outcomes.
-Work closely with teaching staff, Heads of House, and support teams to reinforce positive behaviour management practices across the school.
-Engage with parents and carers to foster strong home-school partnerships that support behavioural improvement and student wellbeing.
-Deliver targeted interventions—individually or in groups—to boost students’ self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.
-Track and monitor student progress, ensuring sustained improvements in behaviour and overall development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
