Planning & Controlling Senior Manager, Health

What You do

This role reports to the Head of Planning & Controlling of the Health LoB and is responsible for business partnering with sales, underwriting, actuarial teams, and functional leaders to support P&L planning, reporting, and analysis for portfolios within the Health LoB.

* Business partner with sales, underwriting, and actuarial teams; main point of contact within the P&C team for topline and results analysis
* Partner with functional leaders to understand and manage their FTEs and cost base
* Provide finance support on strategic projects and initiatives
* Contribute to the development of the 3-year financial plan by liaising with relevant business areas, reviewing, and challenging assumptions
* Coordinate with the Health Planning & Controlling team to submit the annual plan
* Produce accurate P&L forecasts, analyze monthly results, deviations, and liaise with the business
* Identify risks and opportunities, and work on mitigation or realization strategies
* Assist in month-end P&L analysis to understand performance drivers and variances
* Deliver analysis and commentary on P&L performance for reports to stakeholders including senior management and Group
* Propose improvements to P&L reporting and analysis, leading implementation of changes
* Support training and coaching of finance analysts

What You bring

* Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related fields
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
* At least 7 years’ experience in FP&A or finance business partnering within an international insurer
* Proficiency in MS Office, statistical software, Excel, and databases
* Experience in finance partnering with sales, underwriting, and operations
* Experience presenting to senior management
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated with ownership of tasks and meeting deadlines
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and accurate
* Excellent command of English (oral and written)
