Overview
An elderly gentleman living in Kelso is looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to join his small, established team. This role offers a regular weekly pattern of support to assist with both morning and evening routines, helping to ensure comfort, safety, and a good quality of life at home.
The position involves up to 7.5 hours per week, with a mix of weekday and alternate weekend shifts. Morning visits focus on showering and medication support, while afternoon visits are to prepare and serve dinner. Some flexibility in timing can be accommodated for the right candidate.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including support with showering and dressing
* Assist with medication prompting and basic record keeping
* Prepare and serve light meals and drinks in the afternoon
* Offer friendly companionship and conversation throughout visits
* Work as part of a small, supportive team to maintain consistent care

Terms
* Location: Kelso
* Hours: Up to 7.5 hours per week
* Tuesday, alternate Wednesday, and Thursday: 4pm–5pm
* Alternate weekends (opposite weeks to Wednesday shift): 9am–10:45am, and 4pm–5pm on Saturday and Sunday
* Pay Rate: £13.70 per hour
* Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
* Probationary Period: 3 months
* Schedule flexibility can be discussed with the employer
