Job Purpose
We are seeking experienced and versatile Multi Traders to carry out building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements across a wide range of properties. This includes routine reactive repairs, large-scale refurbishment works, and occupational therapy adaptations. You will be expected to deliver high-quality work to professional standards, ensuring compliance with all current regulations and best trade practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements within at least four core trade disciplines.
* Diagnose and resolve building faults, applying the most cost-effective solutions.
* Ensure all work is completed "Right First Time" to a high standard of workmanship.
* Collaborate with supervisors and planners, providing updates on job progress.
* Accurately complete work records, timesheets, material schedules, and requisitions.
* Maintain safe working methods at all times, adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
* Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional and respectful representative when working in occupied properties.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Requirements
* Completed apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent time-served experience.
* At least four disciplines covered to a professional standard: Plumbing, Carpentry, Plastering, Electrical (and/or Part P), Tiling, Painting & Decorating, Gas Safe.
* Relevant certifications where applicable (e.g. 17th Edition BS7671, Part P, Gas Safe).
* Full UK driving licence with business insurance.
* Own tools and drills required.
Skills & Abilities
* Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve building faults.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience
* Previous experience delivering building repairs and maintenance across multiple trades.
* Proven ability to work in occupied housing, providing a respectful and safe service.
Working Arrangements
* Field-based role working across occupied and void housing properties.
* Independent working with regular tenant and resident interaction.
* May include working at heights using ladders, scaffolds, or platforms.
