Overview
The Advanced Pharmacist for Respiratory role is a key position within the Specialist Medicine Division at UHDB, providing leadership and support for the pharmacy service to respiratory at Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton. This post is based at Royal Derby Hospital with occasional travel to other UHDB hospitals to fulfil the Trust-wide elements of the role. Derby and the surrounding areas offer good transport links to major UK cities, situated in the heart of the Midlands near the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the pharmacy service to respiratory across UHDB, delivering and promoting effective, high-quality pharmacy services to patients in hospitals and in virtual/place-based care settings.
* Develop and implement ideas to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care; contribute to leadership, coordination, governance and development of the clinical pharmacy team across UHDB.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary respiratory teams and colleagues in Pharmacy across UHDB to deliver high-quality services.
* Provide leadership and support as part of the team of Advanced Pharmacists within the Specialist Medicine Division.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Clinical pharmacist with an interest in respiratory; experience and/or interest in respiratory pharmacy services.
* Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to governance and development of the clinical pharmacy team.
Location & Travel
This post is based at Royal Derby Hospital. Occasional travel to other UHDB hospitals will be required to fulfil the Trust-wide elements of this role.
