Document Controller (Information Controller) Construction / M&E£30,000 + private medical insurance | Hybrid (up to 2 days in Chelmsford Office)Permanent, Full-timeWe're looking for a Document Controller to own the flow of information between subcontractors, clients, and project managers, checking it, chasing it, and turning it into handover documentation that holds up to scrutiny.If you've spent a couple of years living inside O&M manuals and you know your way around an M&E project, you'll be at home here.What you'll doManage subcontractor and client information through bespoke in-house software, keeping projects on track for on-time handoverLog incoming information promptly so nothing slips through the cracksExtract data from external sources to build equipment schedulesReview and approve as-built documentation from third partiesAction non-technical comments on manuals and chase third-party actions to completionSpot scope creep early, control it where you can, escalate where you can'tJoin client meetings with the Project Manager to report on subcontractor performance and progressDeliver against the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP)Help onboard new team members as the team growsFeed process improvements back to the right teams, your ideas count hereWhat you'll bringEssential:2+ years' document control experience, specifically on O&M manualsA construction background, ideally with a solid grasp of M&EA genuinely sharp eye for detail, quality checking is central to the roleConfidence with data management and organising information logicallyStrong written and verbal communicationA methodical self-starter who can juggle a varied workload and see things throughWhat you'll get£30,000 per annumPrivate medical insurance25 days' holiday plus UK bank holidaysHybrid working, 2 days a week in Chelmsford, the rest from homeEarly finish one Friday a monthRegular company socials and team events (including the occasional trip abroad)A structured personal development programme with mentoring and annual professional trainingMonday to Friday, 40 hoursSecurity clearance: This role requires SC clearance.
