The Role
We are seeking a High Voltage Contracts Manager to lead and grow a new HV profit centre in Manchester. This strategic role involves full responsibility for financial performance, client relationships, operations, and long-term growth. You will shape and execute business strategy, drive sales, and build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver profit centre goals with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Take commercial ownership of P&L, budgets, orders, and forecasts.
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
* Manage contracts, project scopes, resources, and timelines.
* Identify new opportunities, prepare bids, and drive business development.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the team, setting measurable objectives.
* Monitor costs, maximise profitability, and ensure compliance with company and HV/LV Safety Rules.
* Support wider business initiatives and act as a role model for professionalism.
Your skills and experiences:
* Strong leadership and team management experience.
* Proven track record in P&L, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
* Business development and sales growth experience.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused approach.
* Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering services and markets.
* Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
* 5+ years in engineering business management.
* IOSH/SMSTS H&S for Managers.
