Location: Morecambe
Start Date: Immediate - until end of Summer Term
Hours: 30 hours per week (25 hrs TA2 + 5 hrs Welfare)
Pay:
TA2: £14.20 per hour
Welfare: £12.60 per hour
About the Role
Veritas Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA2) with SEN experience to join a supportive school team in Morecambe. This unique role combines classroom support with welfare responsibilities, ensuring pupils receive both academic and pastoral care. The position will supporting in either Year 1, 2 or 3.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
Offer 1:1 and small group interventions.
Support pupils' welfare needs during designated hours.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
Previous experience working with SEN pupils.
TA Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
