Sales Manager
Proeon, part of RSK Group, has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their team based in Bowthorpe, Norfolk. This is a full‑time, permanent position.
Role Responsibilities
* Leading client focused sales effort to achieve the sales budget.
* Generating sales leads and opportunities and recording status and progress through Salesforce CRM.
* In partnership with the Sales Team and Commercial Director (CD), providing sales forecasts detailing order intake, revenue, invoicing and gross margin.
* Engaging with customers to develop ideas and solutions that are of a high quality for complex applications.
* Managing and participating in the provision of high quality technical and commercial sales proposals and pre-qualifications.
* Support to develop the company’s existing product range as well as establishing new business relationships using industry knowledge and working with the CD, targeting new opportunities internationally.
* Collaborating with the CD to ensure the agreed strategy works in harmony with the company’s activities.
* Supporting the assessment of market opportunities and target markets.
* Gathering intelligence on customers and competitors.
* Implementing strategies to win business in accordance with the Sales Budget and KPIs.
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic and relevant partner organisations.
* Liaising with the Engineering team to establish and promote best fit client offering as well as handover of successfully won contracts to the Engineering delivery team.
* Preparing and presenting proposals and associated documentation required in our Quality Management System.
* Travelling when required throughout the UK and overseas.
* Developing new business streams for the company and direct leadership of responsible bidding process with presentations to clients as well as engagement with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss and agree project specifications and procedures.
* Ensuring the company health and safety, environmental and quality policies and practices are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
* Technical/engineering background with an Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation HND/Degree or comparable experience.
* Experience in holding a customer facing role within the energy, oil, gas, renewables, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear or power generation industry.
* Experience in the development, design and/or specification of automation systems, including hazardous areas, industrial cyber security, functional safety with proven success.
* Possess a flexible attitude to UK and overseas travel with a valid UK driving licence.
* Target and sales driven with excellent presentation skills.
