Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Site Engineer
Location: South East
£37,000 plus overtime, standby, shared van, annual company bonus, private healthcare, private pension, specialist tools, pension and 30 days holiday inclusive of statutory days.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced external site team. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to work alongside an Electrical Site Engineer, carrying out installations, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.
Responsibilities
* Attend nationwide installations and breakdowns when required, ensuring company service standards are maintained.
* Service, repair, and assemble pumps and pumping systems.
* Complete detailed site reports following each visit, obtaining customer signatures and submitting documentation promptly.
* Maintain company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services wherever possible.
* Ensure the company vehicle is properly stocked, maintained, and equipped with required tools.
* Observe and uphold all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Be flexible and adaptable to business needs.
* Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider engineering team.
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar mechanical, fitting, or maintenance role (essential).
* Experience with pumps or related systems (desirable).
* Based within a commutable distance of Orpington.
* Understanding of the mechanical or pumping industry (desirable).
Qualifications / Training
* Recognised mechanical qualification (essential).
* Confined Space, First Aid, CSCS, and SSSTS training (desirable - can be provided if not already held).
