Main purpose of the Job: Bowers & Wilkins are seeking to recruit a Principal Product UX Designer, responsible for defining and driving the UX strategy across our physical and digital customer touchpoints, ensuring the end-to-end experience is cohesive and befitting our performance oriented, world-class audio products. We are looking for a multi-disciplinary designer, well versed in the product design lifecycle, from ideation through to realisation and in-market management. The Principal Product UX designer will empathise and translate the needs of customers into engaging human centered interfaces, tangible design concepts, prototypes and implementable designs. The designer will be hands-on when needed, leading research, prototyping, testing, design and asset creation, and engaging with key stakeholders in the product development organisation. Day to day, you will: Champion user experience whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary and global development team. Develop informed usability requirements and guidelines across physical and digital interactions. Own outcomes, ensuring that the user experience design prioritises those items that are most impactful to the user, product and business goals, and adapting or evolving designs in market when needed. Conceptualise effective user journeys and flows, wireframes and visual assets in line with the overall UX strategy. Design and lead research activities including, market research, usability testing and iterative prototyping. Review and validate UX decisions at every step of the development process. Be a key stakeholder when working with 3rd party partners and service providers (eg. Design agencies, Joint development partners). Be a UX advocate across the wider business, enabling better and effective practices. Lead and develop the UX design team Collaborate with design peers to consistently improve our design process and methodologies. Areas of Accountability: Successful implementation of user-focused experience into the product. Ensuring a consistent and cohesive experience across the Bowers & Wilkins product portfolio. Managing deliverables & timelines effectively and supporting the team in launching successful products and experiences. Be an active member of the wider product team, working openly to co-create solutions, review work and maintain our incredibly high standard of work. Skill Sets: A skilled expert with 8 years of professional experience in interaction and experience design. A strategic design thinker with a strong understanding of user-centric methodologies and design processes. Passionate about problem-solving (not solutions), with ideas that challenge the ordinary, together with the drive to bring them to life. Experience and confidence in designing solutions for physical products and companion digital experiences. Proficiency in digital design tools and familiarity with agile management tools (eg.
