Are you a cloud-savvy engineer ready to elevate your career with a forward-thinking tech company?
We’re working with a well-established Scottish cloud solutions provider to find a Cloud Engineer who thrives in hybrid environments and is passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code, and delivering resilient cloud services.
The Role:
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll join a dynamic Cloud Operations Team responsible for designing, securing, and managing both on-premises and public cloud platforms.
You’ll work across AWS, Azure, and VMware, supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure and helping shape the future of hybrid cloud services.

Tech Environment
* Virtualization: VMware VCF, vSphere, ESXi
* Automation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python
* Monitoring: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
* ITSM: ServiceNow
The day to day:
* Deploying and maintaining secure, scalable cloud and infrastructure solutions.
* Driving automation and CI/CD practices across hybrid environments.
* Providing 2nd/3rd line support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborating with product and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions.
* Ensuring compliance, backup integrity, and system patching.
* Participating in an on-call rota (with advance notice and full support).
Skills Required:
* Solid understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models.
* Proficiency in Windows or Linux system administration.
* Working knowledge of networking (Layer 3–7) and security best practices.
* Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or VMware.
* Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Familiarity with monitoring tools and data management (SAN, backup, DR).
