Role Overview
A well-established North West logistics business is seeking a Warehouse & Office Administrator to support goods-inwards operations across both office and warehouse environments.This is a varied, hands-on rolebining administrative accuracy with physical verification of inbound goods, ensuring stock integrity, documentation accuracy, and smooth operational flow. The position plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and supporting customer service standards across the supply chain.
Key ResponsibilitiesGoods Inwards & Warehouse Coordination
1. Accurately book in deliveries and receipts onto internal systems (WMS / ERP)
2. Physically check deliveries in the warehouse against paperwork, ensuring accuracy of quantities, condition, and product codes
3. Verify delivery notes, purchase orders, and supplier documentation before processing
4. Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, and suppliers to ensure smooth inbound operations
5. Support the goods received process, ensuring all activity is recorded and traceable
Stock Control & Investigation
6. Maintain accurate inventory records within systems and databases
7. Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages, and delivery issues
8. Conduct routine checks, reconciliations, and audits to ensure stock accuracy
9. Work proactively to identify and resolve root causes of stock errors
10. Support continuous improvement of stock control processes
Customer & Internal Query Management
11. Respond to customer and internal queries via telephone and email
12. Investigate delivery, stock, or order queries and provide timely updates
13. Proactively chase outstanding deliveries or missing goods
14. Ensure high levels of customer service andmunication at all times
Administration & Systems
15. Input, maintain, and update data accurately across warehouse systems
16. Ensure all documentation (delivery notes, records, logs) is correctlypleted and filed
17. Produce basic reports relating to stock, deliveries, and discrepancies
18. Support general administrative duties as required within the operation
Key Skills & ExperienceEssential
19. Previous experience in a warehouse administration, logistics, or stock control role
20. Strong IT literacy (MS Office, Excel, and warehouse/inventory systems)
21. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
22. Proven ability to investigate and resolve queries/problems
23. Strongmunication skills and confident dealing with customers and stakeholders
24. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
25. Experience within a goods-inwards or supply chain environment
26. Familiarity with WMS, ERP, or stock management systems
27. Understanding of warehouse operations and processes
