Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery in the absence of the Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess excellent leadership skills. This role requires effective communication with staff, children, and parents, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for all children in our care.
Responsibilities
* Alongside the Nursery Manager, manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
* Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff to create a positive team environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
* Support with the administration of nursery records, including attendance and incident reports.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare management is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their needs.
* Ability to drive initiatives that improve childcare practices within the nursery setting.
* Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education are preferred but not mandatory.
