Job Overview
Our manufacturing client is seeking a proven Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for efficiently resolving day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance issues, attending breakdowns, and logging all work on the maintenance system. You will also carry out planned and preventative maintenance in accordance with the maintenance plan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build strong relationships with department managers and shop floor operatives through clear communication.
2. Proactively address problems and implement countermeasures.
3. Follow health and safety legislation and company rules.
4. Perform maintenance tasks within the scope of the company's mission and values.
5. Ensure minimal disruption to production during work.
6. Log all work accurately and maintain critical spares stock levels.
7. Support improvement projects within the department and factory.
Qualifications & Experience
* City and Guilds or BTEC in an engineering discipline, or time served.
* Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding.
* Experience with maintenance systems and machine operation systems.
* Experience working with precision machinery in a manufacturing environment.
* Mechanical engineering knowledge and fault finding skills.
* Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of electrical and electronic circuits and systems.

* Training will be provided during the probation period.
